We took a field trip to the Smyrna air center today. We had a great time. The kids learned all about small aircraft. Hamer was interested in the airport fireman who was also the airport police officer and the engineer of the fire truck. What a cool job!
Grant was into the plane! He wanted to know how to fly it and how every inch of the plane operated and why it was designed the way it was.
Dallas took her turn on both the plane and fire truck, but I think her greatest interest was in what games the other little girls her age wanted to play. She is a very social little girl, yet she was shy when the pilot wanted to pick her up and show her the gas tank on the wing of the plane. She only wanted her mommy to pick her up! What a good little girl. We had a great time. I am grateful to be able to spend so much time with the kids!
